Axis Deer

ORIGIN: India

FACT: Also know as Chital, (Spotted Deer). The name Chital has a similar origin as Cheetah; both names reference the spots on the respective animals.

SEASON: Year-Round

This is our most popular exotic for many reasons. One, we have a herd of well over 500, with some great trophies. Two, our genetics are terrific. Three, they are scattered which provides great hunting. Four, they have probably the best flavored meat of any exotic.
