ORIGIN: There is an ongoing dispute regarding the origins of the Black-Hawaiian. One argument claims they are cross between a mouflon and black-haired sheep from the Hawaiian Islands. Another is that they are a Barbados sheep with a dilution of a color gene, making them black.
FACT: Resilient animals, their thick coats help them survive even in the colder climates.
